Product Description
Product Description
This coffee comes from the Amazonas region of northern Peru, grown high in the Amazonian Andes at elevations between 1,600 and 1,800 meters. Classified as Grade 1, SHG, EP, it reflects meticulous growing, harvesting, and processing standards. The coffee is washed and produced from a diverse mix of varietals, including Typica, Castillo, Bourbon, and Catimor, contributing to both balance and complexity in the cup.
In the brew, you’ll find medium acidity paired with a smooth, approachable body. Bright lemon notes lead the profile, followed by gentle herbal tones and a soft chocolate finish that rounds everything out cleanly and comfortably.
This coffee is produced by the Asociación de Productores Cafetaleros Juan Marco El Palto (JUMARP), commonly known as El Palto. Founded in 2003 by just 35 small farmers, the cooperative has grown to 189 members, including 40 women who are fully represented on the board of directors. With approximately 550 hectares of organic, Fair Trade Certified coffee, El Palto’s mission is to improve quality, sustainability, and long-term income for member families through specialty coffee production.
